Happy World Teachers’ Day! Today, we’d like to introduce you to two members of the Grey Nuns of Montreal who have worked in this profession.<\/p>\n

Sister Marie-Rose Lacroix (1895-1989) had a long career as a teacher. She taught science (physics and chemistry) and literature at Institut Marguerite d’Youville (from 1934 to 1967) and, from 1967 to the 1980s, gerontology and geriatrics at Pierrefonds.<\/p>\n

Sister Juliette Leclerc (1911-1983) also had a distinguished teaching career at the Couvent et Foyer d’Youville in Saint-Beno\u00eet (1936-1937) and at the Institut Familial (from 1937 to 1944, from 1947 to 1948 and from 1949 to 1964, she was director of this home school).<\/p>\n
