May 3 marks the 65th anniversary of the beatification of Marguerite d’Youville. In the process leading to canonization, beatification is the declaration, by papal decree, that a person of Christian faith practiced the natural and Christian virtues in an exemplary, or even heroic, manner. In 1959, on the occasion of the beatification ceremony of Marguerite d’Youville, a delegation of Grey Nuns visited Rome to attend.
